My favorite tacos in San Francisco are:

- El Gallo Giro (everything is good)
- Tacos del Barrio (get the black al pastor, and carnitas. Fish tacos are excellent also)
- La Gallinita (get a crispy chicharron taco.. or suadero. it’s amazing)
- Tacos el Charro has a trompo on the street and the most ‘Mexico city’ vibe

All in the Mission.

In the Castro, I usually go to Tacos El Tucan. I loved them in the east bay but my main complaint about their Castro store is they seem to be toning down the spice and grease for the Castro crowd.

LA taco truck institution Leo’s is opening / has opened? Near ocean beach. It’s my LA fave but I haven’t checked out their SF one
