Irvins salted egg chips are a pretty recent invention (I used to go to their restaurant, where they made salted egg crab dishes, before they found the jackpot with the snacks)
But basically stuff like that: extreme umami is what I like in my snacks. I also like the delicious curry leaf flavor that reminds me of a lot of dishes from home.
For standard crisps, I discovered NZ's Proper Crisps when I was visiting and I really like very basic and good classic crisps like that.
I get most of my snacks from Asian and Mexican grocery stores. When I go to TJ's or or Safeway or Whole Foods, zero of the flavors speak to me. Well maybe the Irish blue cheese crisps that TJ's sometimes has.
