1) Are all weapons systems inherently evil?
no, situationally however the big ones giving money to our universities are evil imo since they lobby politicians for purchases with public debt for unnecessary conflicts that kill a lot of innocent people
2) Are weapons used to defend or deter attackers evil?
they may come from an evil system even if you do good with them but most weapons are probably not intrinsically evil
3) Are the things used to destroy the library at Columbia considered weapons?
they are trying to discourage university participation in that process
4) are the companies that produced the shoes used to stomp and break tables part of the military industrial complex?
I think previous answers cover this
5) are the companies which produced the cloth which was (in this case) used to try to shield the identities of the "protesters" at Columbia part of the military-industrial complex because they produced articles which were used for "stealth"?
I don't necessarily support their actions, I just think they made a correct connection
6) how far do we stretch the definitions in order to justify waging war on a university in order to protest the waging of war?
I don't think I stretched them
I hope I at least convinced you I am not trolling you
