R Scott JonesI got an excited call from a natl park buddy in early Jan who wanted to tell me (since I'm "the quest guy") that he had run into someone who was trying to celebrate New Years in 24 time zones. The guy was in his 60s, but only had 4 left. He had just completed Samoa + American Samoa on consecutive days—a twofer—possible because the islands are split by the International Date Line (my buddy was in Amer Samoa to complete his own quest to finish the 63 National Parks).
