Grift campaigns are always suspect IMO. I'm sure it has a name, but enabling people to "do something" where "doing something" is swiping a credit card is pacification.

Perhaps I'm too cynical, but if this does move the needle, as you mention, it /will/ be co-opted (if it hasn't been already).
