   No idea if it's true, but FWIW this is the first thing I thought when I saw the single-arm sleeve. There are only two reasons someone does that, and neither of them is "I just like tattoos".

   Made me wonder if circumstances like this are *allowed* to proliferate because some people are holding the second shoe, just waiting for the opportune moment.

     @eriner @admin @Vashna a lot of it is simp money. i would say 70% or more. has nothing to do with the nigger word. they see a thin, kind of OK 5-6/10 with two kids she's raising on her own in distress and immediately it will draw white knights. i dont have an opinion either way for her but watching people defend somebody they've never met on here and across the internet is both humbling and also insane. somebody (probably anti-cause?) dug up that she had a drug addict past and is?/was a sex worker. no idea if that is true or not. i support making somebody a paraiah when something like this happens but i dont think this is the cause to argue about

     Grift campaigns are always suspect IMO. I'm sure it has a name, but enabling people to "do something" where "doing something" is swiping a credit card is pacification.

     Perhaps I'm too cynical, but if this does move the needle, as you mention, it /will/ be co-opted (if it hasn't been already).
