    @nyanide It's moreso so much software wants a network connection. Windows has the slight advantage of it being easy to just drop a bunch of binaries on a hard drive, but it's needed to be activated online for over 20 years now.

    Meanwhile with Linux, it generally wants everything to be in a repo so you kinda need edit the package manager config files and download everything beforehand
