@splitshockvirus no it is the stupid qt libraries unable to open kwallet and failing
just tried it from a vm and it worked fine
what confuses me is why it works with ssh and fails with rsync when it should work with both or fail on both

i know it is this dumbshit interfering but it is also precisely why i have xcb as fallback in there and it works with ssh.
