@pwm There's some message bus that uses mains AC as a carrier wave that's been around since the 70s. I don't remember the name of it, but I do remember that at least one person on fedi knows what it's called and he mentioned it at SPC Movie Night on the night when Dad showed a movie about appliances killing people and I don't think I wrote it down because I tried to find it a few weeks ago and could not.
