- Embed this notice@Shlomo @yogthos America still makes stuff, however, the price differential is such that it makes it untenable for competition in the market place but not for existential purposes: a Chinese PC will cost about 20% less than an American-assembled one. On paper it looks like the difference is higher but once you factor in the bribes, theft of intellectual property and logistics, it comes out to about that.
Same with steel furnaces and other large machinery that is needed to rebuild a manufacturing base.
