Glyph@hisham_hm I am working my way through The Innovator's Dilemma, which is where I think that this term as we understand it today originally comes from, and, as with many pieces of jargon, within the nuance of the original context, it is an extremely useful concept. Given the success of the "disruptive" businesses in its case studies, it makes sense that its use became a trend. But the version in the popular imagination inevitably became distorted and toxic.
