I know 4chan never had a good rep or anything but days like these do make me nostalgic for what I consider the golden days of imageboard culture.

I don't think any online platform had more impact on shaping who I am today. I know it's cool to hate on 4chan, especially because a lot of bad things came from there. But there was also a lot of good things, at least for me.

Without 4chan I might've never:

* Gotten into many hobbies such as vocalsynth music or cars
* Become a programmer as my career
* Gotten into the free software movement
* Made many friends for life that I still speak to almost every day.

There's probably also a bunch of toxic stuff that I've had to leave behind tho.
