@selzero @hermannus it seems that only very visual or simple actions attract attention when we think about energy use and/or climate. My issue is that we do not actually look at the real quantitave impact and put it in perspective.

For instance, take GenAI. One query generates some 5 grams of carbon. That is the same as 25 meters driving in an average traditional car, which most people don't even think about. But using GenAI draws so much more attention. Like a straw puppet, indeed...
