Although I don't have any of the reverence for vets that the propaganda wants me to have, I don't have universal disdain for them. Only the ones that swallowed the bullshit and get irritated by my lack of thankfulness for their "service". I've met a lot of cynical ones who knew it was just a job opportunity they could take advantage of, and those guys seem like mostly good dudes. Also the guys who didn't get a choice, all the 'nam boomers I've ever met share pretty much all of my negative sentiments towards the military, and I'd never disparage those guys who were forced into something they never wanted any part in.
