Network infrastructure is more critical IMO — if people controlled that, we could throw bad actors like that the fuck out, not really possible when we are relying on states and corporations. Networks built on top of existing infrastructure resolve that to a degree, being small also helps — I haven't seen these massive scrapes in Geminispace, I think it doesn't even blip on their corporate radar.
