Gatekeeping is such a gray area. Which sucks, we're not exactly famous for liking gray area concepts.
On one hand, yes, self diagnosis is valid, and official diagnosis is difficult to impossible to get, and currently unsafe in some areas.
On the other hand, what would being autistic even mean if people all call themselves "a little autistic"?
Gray area.
I don't like gray areas.
