@howsen as far as representing all non-white people (or all queer people, or all women and non-binary people, or all dot dot dot):

I think we'd have to acknowledge that inclusion is everyone's responsibility, and that those who have surplus time and resources have a special responsibility to concentrate more.

That said, I don't think there's any substitute for lived experience. Unless there are diverse decision-makers at the table, the decisions are going to go wrong.
