Anthk@screwtape @tomjennings on gopher, the tildes have a ~/public_gopher directory per user, much better. On inline images, my approach is to use a subdir link near to one pointing to an article. Cumbersome, but it's 2025, you can multitask fine even from a 386. And I set up lynx and sacc to open PDF's and images with sxiv, mupdf and so on.
