the puzzles: 10/10, it's like portal but actually good. not just because there's SO MANY of them: they're a lot more elaborate than portal too. portal physics are far better tho. which is fine because see blow.
artwork: 5/10 very generic but looks decent
it just looks very 2020s photorealism-like. they could have gone for something more unique. which portal really did. but it doesn't look particularly bad either. it just looks fine.
the terminals/story: 0/10 annoying mechanic that serves NO purpose and just keeps you in the "explore what happened" trope that should have died ages ago. it's so bad i just skipped the terminals and now i have to walk back and collect them all because im probably missing some access codes for the upper floors of the tower. i just really hate reading monologues when there's nothing interesting to be said :c
gameplay: 7/10. walls you could definitely jump on but you slide right off, but if you stand on top of a cube and jump forward IT WORKS? because then it's not physics but scripted movement ig? if your game doesn't allow players to lift their feet 5 inches off the ground to "climb" past obstacles i don't think those should be placed on the map in the first place, when one aspect of the riddles is figuring out which paths to go.
i don't like guessing invisible walls. because, i have a life you know, outside of video games.
however, if you wanna jump *there* then you literally just point at it and hit space when the "jump there" text shoes up. which is VERY NICE (except when it doesn't work) because, im using my brain to solve the puzzle i don't wanna wrangle your janky collision solver as well.
oh and: you can run: i have zero stamina. im a lightweight sitting at my computer all day everyday. and i can run if i really want to.
but somehow gamedev's thinks it's immersive and fun to slow down to mobility scooter speed after 10 seconds of sprinting. not so in ttp. even better: you can even speed up time in general! because again i have a life i don't wanna watch robots slowly move down their path for my timeframe to jump past them. have you ever been at a tiny train station at night in the cold waiting to go home? waiting is not very fun. don't make waiting a mechanic in your game. and if you do: wait not allow the player to speed up time?
soundtrack and sounds: 7/10 it's nothing special but it fits it's well done. and thanks for not shoving me "mid 30s gamedev panting in the mic" into my ears when running for more than 10 seconds like every other game.
overall it's so much fun but it's demanding way too much time for me rn. im not a gamer i like doing other things as well :3 cc @mia
oh btw i hate elohim if i don't get to kill this smug fucker at the end i will become the joker of video gamers and by that i mean be very sad and cry ig.
enough gaming for now tho im going back to doing something less pointless ig
