Really short guy, but a striking combination of firebrand-plus-thirst for knowledge. As if he stepped out of a book about Mayans or something. I didn’t get too close, but over time he found out about the jews on his own. He had/has a valuable perspective, but I’d never try to convince myself he was “just like me”.
