But Russia pushed itself away from the rest of the world. They only were forced to leave the G8 because after their puppet leader in Ukraine got ousted they invaded Crimea.

They wouldn't have to do half this shit if they didn't make themselves so hostile. If anything, it's Russia that made other surrounding countries like Georgia or Ukraine have to draft their men. It's not like they were the ones threatening Russia.
