@FlashMobOfOne I listened to Schumer explain himself - I think he’s actually right. Basically he’s saying a government shutdown gives Trump legal and unilateral control over the government, effectively rendering all lawsuits to reinstate people moot. And the Courts themselves would be subject to his whim - he could simply close any court that disagreed with him. A shutdown would be Trump’s Reichstag Fire.

I think I was wrong and Schumer’s right on this.
