@captain_arepa A basic utilitarian mindset would result in not hesitating to work with the GNU project, just like the developers of the other systems (who had that mindset), as that efficiently saved most of the work and prevented duplicating work.

It's a proprietary mindset to not care about working with the framework of the system because you like the sound of buzzwords.
