@Jagahati You would have to be an idiot to just install the kernel, Linux onto a machine and expect it to work (as that kernel doesn't operate on its own).

You'd need to install at least GNU as well, making GNU/Linux or LiGNUx or just GNU (GNU Linux-libre or GNU Hurd and GNU Grub and GNUboot are GNU projects that makes a system supremely GNU once installed).
