I wouldn't worry about the ABA. Other than setting guidelines for state ethics rules, they're not that powerful.
I'd worry about the fact that rueters owns westlaw, and westlaw is currently moving towards an AI model, i.e. the same people who control the AP control the primary law archive, and AI will make finding arguments contrary to the party line more difficult.
