Rich Felker@MarSolRivas @emmalbriant Yeah, hashtag seems the most likely explanation. This is why I've been against the whole hype of "use hashtags because there's no algorithm!" from the beginning. They're trivially spammable and bypass the otherwise satisfied "everything is vetted by your relationships" promise of Mastodon.
