InfoseepageIn the afternoon, I visited The Rock of Cashel, a fortified religious site and place of kingship dating back millennia. Saint Patrick converted the King of Munster here and it is associated with many notables, including Brian Baru. It was eventually gifted to the church in perpetuity and became a prominent religious site. Today, it's got a wonderful unroofed cathedral, many high crosses, an Irish round tower and a Romanesque chapel.
