I think Zalensky knew it was a trap and went to spring it (not for some insane mineral deal).

By springing the trap, he now forces the European countries to pick a side. And they know it must be Ukraine (well, except those like Orban already in Russia's orbit).

Z definitively crushed the Macron/Starmer appeasement approach that could only end badly. Today starts the beginning of the post-NATO European defense. Z is playing high-stakes for keeps.
