That’s the point: back then, no one would have thought to applaud them for choosing Nazis as villains because it was so ridiculously obvious that they are evil. Now, decades later, millions of people still watch these movies, and who knows how many kids have learned about fascism through them. Little things like this are important to preserve our collective memory.
