Anyway, I think it's no, but. I think being asked to do the work of learning real history and acknowledging systemic injustice is too much for some people. They'd rather fall back to comforting illusions, even if it perpetuates that injustice.
I don't think the Democratic Party or its candidates demands much of that work from voters, but a vague tendency in media and culture does, and those voters call that tendency "the Democrats".
