... and to me, LOSING THE WILL to do something has always been closer to a state of mind where you ADMIT DEFEAT.
Here, it's literally losing the will, it being lost in the multitude of mental considerations bouncing around in any thoughtful brain. No defeat, no capitulation, just hiding in the mass confusion. More like Where's Waldo.
