i read an interview with a disaster recovery expert who was recruited to give a talk to a bunch of the stupidly wealthy on how to survive the coming climate crisis. Prepared all this stuff about what they could do to prevent civilization collapse when global warming had caused massive world wide food shortages etc. But they weren't interested in preserving society. All they wanted to know was how to ensure staff will stay loyal and protect the wealth they had accumulated.
