First, I content myself in the fact that no matter how bad things get, I can still do good things in my own little corner of the world. The history books are filled with the stories of people who were subversive against authoritarians, going as far back as governments have existed.

Second, I never procreated. Really glad for that. If and when things go to shit climate-wise in my lifetime, it'll just be me who has to deal with it.
