Two of my outbuildings had water at least up to the base of the building. Dunno how much if any got inside. All my outdoor equipment is in those. Might be buying new stuff, but nothing irreplaceable. The old man's cabin stayed high and dry though, thankful for that.
There's water rushing down over the road from that side of the holler. Makes me nervous about the integrity of the road. Creek didn't get high enough to get into the cellar stairwell, and my sump pumps are performing heroically, so the basement is bone dry.
Half (of the flat part of) my property is under at least a foot of water though, and there will be a shitload of sand and muck whenever the water recedes.
Its just honestly fucking rough standing there watching the creek go up and over a bank that we built up along it, while its still raining, not sure what's going to happen next or for how long. I'm grateful for my wife being the one who handles crises well, because I very clearly don't.
