@Laz1985 there definitely are existing populations of unmodified animals in those categories.

You mentioned birds. Wild birds are threatened with extinction whilst the most populated birds are chickens living in captivity. I assume you’re happy with this and think it’s cruel to stop breeding battery farm chickens?

And you said “treating them humanely and protecting them” - yes, we need humane animal sanctuaries for the abused animals. Farms are *not* humane!
