@BeAware@social.beaware.live I'm afraid the Mastodon Taliban (I don't call them the Fediverse Taliban, most of them are not even aware of the Fediverse beyond Mastodon) don't want the Fediverse to grow.

They think they are in their private pure safe space and anyone not part of their clique willl spoil it. The rest of Fediverse users are barely toleratedm but they don't want the "normies" (what a despicable term) to come.

Of course, their premise, that they're in a private space is wrong, but they're not aware of it and they will become violent if you point it out to them.
