No one should use a phone that is end of life. That is super insecure. Sadly, many can't afford to switch to a newer phone, manufacturer are to blame for dropping support so quickly, often without providing an on-device notification for it.

Putting a custom ROM on it helps a little, but ideally no one should be using an unsupported phone because these devices aren't secure.
