Trudeau can’t just kick him out of the party for not doing as he’s told. The next Liberal leader will have to explain how they can go to (trade) war with the 900lb gorilla and expect to come out victorious, whereas Poilievre is already working to ensure the narrative out of his government is one focusing on mutual benefit in trade.

i think this is late stage for all the USSR-type leadership styles. realizing that you can just use authoritarianism to beat your own people all day but at the end of the day the people that focused on competence are the ones that will ultimately survive.
