I have successfully used the NSFW app on Hubzilla to block material that I deem inappropriate. I just go to the app menu, select the NSFW app and an interface appears where I can include words, usually specifically found in the offending post and then those images are blocked. I'm enclosing a photo illustrating what I mean.
