the pakistan/ india/ china border area is highly contentious

so rather than offend nationalists in any of the countries, google just geolocates your IP, and serves you different borders depending upon where you are

now i *could* be wrong, and google could indeed foist stupid american "gulf of america" bullshit on canadians

and canadians will move to openstreetmap

normally i would say google isn't that stupid

but we're living in really stupid times
