@lispi314 @beecycling @cstross Ultimately tho what we should have is "cut the ribbons to the controller board, mount an ESP or RP2040 inside, let it control the steppers and inkjet nozzle pins". No point in trying to RE & fix a $5 part rather than replacing it with a universal solution.

Same concept as reviving and liberating legacy 3D printers (like XYZ) and modern ones adding DRM shit (like Bambu).
