We don't see people spontaneously combust after getting covid for example -- that is not a symptom and if someone spontaneously combusted we would not just shrug our shoulders and say "damn that person has covid what do you do" we would say "what the fuck how did that happen??"

The analogy breaks down when you look at what the virus actually does in the cell, ie it acts in ways that can be understood, and predicted (ie the outcomes are constrained, and not capable of explaining any behavoiur by the virus)
