Here “on the nose” means “likely to provoke a (possibly well-justified!!) emotional reaction that makes the item more likely to be shared even if it is inaccurate.” We are going to spend the coming years constantly threading the needle of:
(1) not inadvertently spreading disinfo because it •seemed• true, while also
(2) diligently spreading shocking info that •is• true.
That’s going to require an exhausting amount of vigilance — and of grace for each other.
