It changes quite a bit if they are different kinds of viruses with different replication cycles. It means that a possible treatment for one might not work for the other.
The fact that people get vaccinated less doesn't mean that covid is over -- given that covid is *not* over it means people are more at risk.

I'll still be talking about it., because there's no sign that there's going to be any high-level action against covid coming from the US/canada/china, and without those 3 there's not going to be much progress this year.
