@paulmcaleer I remember in college an exchange student told us how weird it was that Volvos were luxury cars in the US, since everyone in Sweden had manuals with vinyl interiors they got for like 20k new, so not a surprise Volvo keeps doing this.

One bright spot in this nonsense: search for a used Polestar 2, and you can find two year old ones with like 30k miles for under 25k. Try and get the one with all the options for the safety features though.
