Yeah, exactly. I agree - that does come to mind, and IRL it is not funny. It first seemed, as I read posts on Mastodon about musk making the salute, that maybe it was at least ambiguous, that maybe I would see it and have at least some doubt that he did it explicitly. But it was explicit, beyond any doubt. It makes me fear for everyone so much more.

There is no way we can stop genocides and wars if so many of us are so desperate to dissociate from crisis that they can deny what is happening now. My working model of what I am supposed to do with my life keeps changing rapidly because the circumstances keep looking more and more dire around us...
