@FeartnTired By the way, after step 3, you can see the current automatically chosen speed setting here, before entering Properties. It should be 1.0 Gbps on pretty much any sufficiently modern computer. If it's 100 Mbps that's likely to be wrong, though it may be that one is using an old Ethernet cable or so, in which case it may be expected.
