I wonder if this is a particularly MN problem, where MN was heavily settled by Scandinavian Lutherans with a history of giving males biblical names. I've got a common biblical name myself and a fairly common English last name. There is actually at least one other person in my town with the same firstname/lastname and we occasionally get each other's stuff.
