    It also explains why the symbolism of Fight Club - like the symbolism of The Matrix - is so popular with crypto-fascists. Despite the fact that both films (and especially the Matrix trilogy as a whole) were made to criticise exactly the blind devotion to symbols of power that is core to all fascist movements.

    Fascists don't have an analysis or a set of principles. Symbolism is all there is.
