Ravenswood Manor: neighborhood and feudal demesne in the Albany Park Community Area. Due to  concessions negotiated during the 1889 annexation of Lake View Township, Ravenswood Manor remains one of the last parts of Chicago controlled by hereditary voivodes rather than elected alderpersons. Until 1976, the manor was held by the stern and pious Hollófa family, who promoted useful industries and commissioned the region's famous bungalows. When the last Hollófa voivode and her heirs drowned during a bicentennial regatta on the Chicago River, rule passed to distant collateral relations, the sickly twin princes Gyula and Zsombor.In the early years of their joint reign, the twins attained a degree of local notoriety. Gyula, a minority stakeholder in the Chicago Bulls from 1981 to 1990, was infamous for his blasphemous tirades at investor events and the wild bacchanals he conducted in his private box. Zsombor had been born with a caul that the midwife was not permitted to remove. Fusing with the flesh around his eyes, it grew with him, and by his 21st year the excess tissue fell to his collarbone in translucent pleats. Zsombor wrote fifty letters to the Sun-Times every week.
